Mathex
On 25th of May - Miss Zee and Mrs Hunter went on a MATHEX practical workshop. It was and evening of fun and challenges.
It gave us an insight to the kinds of questions asked at this competition and made us think about the kinds of thinkers to include in the team. It is not only those with great number skills, but also those that show strength in logic challenges and those who have visual problem solving skills. We are going to run workshops at lunchtime for the team when it is selected.
for now it might be a great chance for you to challenge your skills and get the brain juices flowing!!!
To follow is a link that takes to you to a wiki, this wiki has past papers and questions for you to have a go with. All the best - if you find one problem that you need help with, bring it to school, or share it through email, we can take a look at it in numeracy time! :-)
